FAQ

How long is the season?
Our season goes from May to September. Our typical dates of the operation are from May 15th to September 30th.
What if I can’t make the whole season?
We expect, and prefer, our staff to be onsite for our entire operational season. However, we understand that school start, and end dates vary, and that people may need to head back to their primary jobs such as teachers or bus drivers. If this is the case, give us a ring or e-mail and our managers can discuss your specific case.
Is housing provided?
We have very limited on-site staff housing. It is on a first come first serve basis.
How do I find housing if I don’t get into the limited employee housing?
There are many resources to find housing in Jackson Hole. Here are some: The Jackson Hole Daily, Radio Classifieds, Misty’s List on Facebook, 22-Rents on Facebook.
Is there laundry on site?
Yes, we have free staff laundry on site. You must provide your own detergent.
Is there staff parking?
Yes, there is plenty of parking onsite.
Will I need a car?
Jackson has a wonderful public transportation and pathways system. It is not a necessity to have a car, though we feel it is nice to have one. Getting around town is no problem, however if you want to go the national parks or surrounding areas on your weekends a car is nice to have.
How many days off a week will I get?
You will be guaranteed two days off per week to enjoy all that the surrounding area has to offer. We may ask you if you would like to work more than 5 days per week at times but will never force you to.
How long are shifts?
We operate from 7:00am to 9:00pm daily. Typical shifts run about 8-10 hours depending on the position.
Do any positions require specific certification?
We prefer all staff to have a valid driver’s license. Bus Drivers - To be a bus driver you must have a CDL and first aid. Don’t have one, but are interested in becoming a bus driver? No worries, we’ll train you up and cover the cost. Guides – For those wanting to guide for mad river you must complete our week-long guide course, unless you have extensive guiding experience.
