About Signal Mountain Lodge

Mission Statement

Signal Mountain Lodge strives to provide an exceptional National Park experience for both the park visitor and our staff.  Through our staff’s pride and dedication, we will give all park visitors attentive and outstanding service.

Signal Mountain Lodge

Signal Mountain Lodge is located on the shores of Jackson Lake in the heart of Grand Teton National Park and offers one of the most stunning views the park has to offer. With endless opportunities for outdoor adventures, a quality Employee Dining Room and managers who truly care about your success, it’s no wonder we have a staff return rate of 50% year after year. Our seasonal operation includes lodging, food and beverage, retail, a marina and a campground. We also operate Leek’s Marina & Pizzeria, which is 10 miles north of our main location, and Lizard Creek Campground 17 miles north of the main lodge.

Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park was first established in 1929 through the joint efforts of Horace Albright, Superintendent of Yellowstone National Park, and John D. Rockefeller, Jr., who after forming the Snake River Land Company, purchased most of the private land on the valley floor. Initially the park protected only the peaks; the valley area was later added as the Jackson Hole National Monument. In 1950, Congress passed a bill to incorporate the National Monument as part of the park. Today, Grand Teton National Park covers 485 square miles, is home to over 200 miles of hiking trails, and has some of the best rock climbing in North America.

Climate & Wildlife

Signal Mountain Lodge sits at an elevation of 6,749 feet and weather in the Jackson Hole area can be unpredictable. Employees typically encounter weather from all four seasons while working at SML. Another exciting element to Grand Teton National Park is the array of local wildlife and photography opportunities. Whether you’re into bears, moose, bird watching, or taking scenic pictures, it’s all right in our backyard!

Applicants with the longest dates of availability are given first consideration, but we also offer opportunities for those with limited availability.
